THE MICROSCHOOLING MOVEMENT

Microschooling is an updated version of the one-room schoolhouses which dotted American frontier life throughout the 19th century.

Microschooling environments are:

Small - Generally serving no more than 10 students in a setting.

Thin - Teaching and coaching thrives in small-group, intimate settings, with only a minimal administrative staff, to prioritize teaching and learning while holding costs down.

Nimble - Learners' specific educational needs drive microschooling decisions around content and approach, allowing the greatest flexibility possible.

Versatile - Microschooling can serve learners' diverse educational needs, whether they choose traditional public, public charter, private, or homeschooling co-op communities.
